The Economics & Social Sciences Divisional Library (‘BBWiSo’) supplies information and literature on economics and social sciences. It is open to university teachers and students as a reference library; its holdings are kept on site for you to read.

Closing days
The library will be open from 9:00 to 21:00 on Sundays from 14 January 2024 to 25 February 2024.
For the second exam period the library will be open from 9:00 – 21:00 on Sundays from 10 March to 24 March 2024.

The majority of the holdings are reference holdings with two-day short loan for students, weekend loan and privileged loan for employees of the University of Göttingen.
BBWiSo holdings can be researched in GöDiscovery and in the BBWiSo catalogue. This catalogue is part of the Göttingen University Catalogue (GUK).

By public transport
From the train station
The bus lines 21 (Nikolausberg), and 23 (Faßberg) will get you to the stop "Platz der Göttinger Sieben". Pass the Central Library of the Göttingen State and University Library towards the campus. Follow on to the "Oeconomicum", Platz der Göttinger Sieben 3, on the left.

On foot from the train station
Leave by the exit "Zentrum", then turn left into Berliner Straße. Pass the Central Library of the Göttingen State and University Library towards the campus. Follow on to the "Oeconomicum", Platz der Göttinger Sieben 3, on the left. On foot, the library is a 10-minute walk from the train station.
By car
From Kassel
Take the A 7 exit Göttingen, and drive all the way down Kasseler Landstraße in the direction Stadtmitte / Hauptbahnhof. Turn left onto Berliner Straße and continue straight on, until you get to the junction Berliner Straße / Weender Landstraße.
Turn left on the junction Berliner Straße / Weender Landstraße. You have reached the university pay-parking facility on Weender Landstraße.
From Hanover
Take the A 7 exit "Göttingen-Nord" and follow the feeder road until Hannoversche Straße, where you turn right in the direction Stadtmitte.
You can now turn left on Kreuzbergring, and use the university pay-parking facilities on Weender Landstraße (see map). The parking access is located at the start of Kreuzbergring.
Drive straight on to the junction Weender Landstraße /Berliner Straße, and turn left into Nikolausberger Weg; keep straight on past the library (long building) and turn left into Goßlerstraße. Here you can use metered parking spaces (2 h) to the left of the barrier leading to the staff car park, as well as the pay-parking garage at the end of Goßlerstraße on the right.
