The project name CRAFT-OA stands for ‘Creating a Robust Accessible Federated Technology for Open Access’. The project is dedicated to improving conditions for Diamond Open Access journals, i. e. journals that do not charge either researchers for publication or readers for the access to publications. The workshop offered the project partners a great opportunity to meet in person for the first time since the project started, to get to know each other and thus to establish a basis for cooperation in the project over the next three years. Its rich partly hybrid program included enlightening keynotes and impulse lectures, a round table, along with the slots dedicated to work packages, including poster presentations, a World Cafe, and working/writing sessions. The collaboration was very productive and a nice atmosphere encouraged ample discussions between the project partners.
