Semantic Web: Development and Transmission. Sub-Project of the Competence Network: New Services, Standardization, Meta-Data.

 

 

Efficient standards are characterized in such a way that they can form a base for a rich product development.

 

This project is aimed at an active participation in standards development in the context of the Semantic Web and the proficient transmission into the academic field. This is to promote faster and in-depth implementation of standards in new services.

 

Another goal of the transmsission activities with the collaboration of IWI is to motivate other scientists within the Federal Republic of Germany to actively participate in the international standardization in the field of sophisticated web technologies.

 

Intended within the project are tutorials, workshops, the documentation of server operations and newsletters as well as counseling in terms of a competence centre.

 

In the domain of developing and researching new services and practices CASHMERE-int focuses on the participating in international standardization approaches which emphasize innovative methods and tools to mechanically and intellectually edit information and further process this information in search and retrieval.
