Cambridge University Press
Members of the University of Göttingen and the University Medical Center Göttingen receive the following support for Open Access publishing in the journals of Cambridge University Press (CUP). As part of the Bavarian State Library Munich consortium, an agreement has been reached with the publisher to enable open access publishing in the CUP journals.
Time period: 2022 – 2024
Hybrid Open Access / Gold Open Access
For OA publishing in the subscription-based (hybrid) as well as pure OA journals, the following applies: 'Corresponding authors' are given the opportunity to publish their articles in journals of the publisher free of charge OA via the extended 'Read and Publish Agreement'.
Check in advance whether you are eligible for OA publication under this agreement and which journals are available to you by using the 'OA Waiver Tool' provided by the publisher.
The agreement applies to the following article types: Research Articles, Review Articles, Rapid Communications, Brief Reports (from 2022), Case Reports (from 2022).
Furthermore, authors must go through the full registration process for open access publishing. At the end of the process, a check is made to see whether the costs are waived on the basis of the corresponding institutional affiliation. This is done in the Rightslink system, which controls the billing. For this purpose, the author must specify his or her institution Georg-August-Universität Göttingen (including University Medicine). If a corresponding authorization has been recognized, the price goes to zero, provided that the selected journal is included in the license package.
In addition to being published by the publisher, the article will be made available and archived via GRO.publications, the publication management system of the University of Göttingen.
