Hybrid Open Access

Publishing in hybrid journals: 'Corresponding authors' have the opportunity to publish their eligible research articles (review, overview articles, multistudy reports, etc.) in the subscription-based journals free of charge Open Access.
Non-eligible article types are: Reviews, minor articles, news, conference reports.

The publication process for authors

  • As a 'corresponding author' you submit your article to the journal. You will go through the full registration process for open access publishing.
  • Upon acceptance of the article, authors at participating institutes will receive an Open Access release form where they can also choose the license.
We recommend, in accordance with the Open Content Praxisleitfaden, to choose a license that is as open as possible (for example CC-BY).
  • On the publisher's website, authors can find instructions summarizing the most important points for submission as well as a sample form for the Open Access release.

cOAlition S with eleven EU funding agencies recognizes the ‘Publish and Read’ model of the present degree. There is compatibility with PlanS.
