Baltic Philology at the Göttingen State and University Library
Göttingen State and University Library offers dictionaries, grammar textbooks, titles on general linguistics and literary anthologies on the subject of Baltic Philology (Latvian and Lithuanian).
As your initial research access point, we recommend the Göttingen University Catalogue (GUK), which lists all literature on the topic held by the library in book form (monographs), as well as printed and electronic periodicals. Monographs are best researched via the author's name (search access point ”Person/Author“ [PER]) and/or the title of the book (search access point ”Title (Keywords“ [TIT]). In order to find a periodical, you should use the search access point ”Periodical (String)“ [PDS] and enter the initial title elements of the periodical as your search string (word for word in exact sequence).
The special subject collection ”Baltic States“ (as defined by the German Research Foundation (DFG) was maintained by the Greifswald University Library by the end of 2014. This special subject collection comprised the fields of language, literature (Latvian and Lithuanian only); ethnology; history including social history and economic history; politics, constitution, administration; publications on political parties, unions, and similar associations; anthropological geography and regional geography; pre-history and early history; educational systems and university education; academic institutions; information, book and library sciences and media studies.
